This is a prototype of sea water distiller. The energy of condensation is used to heat the incoming cold water up to 100°C. The energy of outcoming hot brine is used to set the stirling engine in motion, which pumps the water from sea into device.
How much vapor would escape through the hole in relation to the water that condensates as a function of the surface of the hole?
can a regular water distiller that you buy to distill water be used to distill alcohol?
I would like to purchase a good quality countertop water distiller, without spending much money if possible. I also care about the ease of maintenence and cleaning. I want to use about two gallons of water per day, perhaps three, and to be able to keep it clean without much work. Also I need something that won’t break down and will last at least one year. Any suggestions appreciated as to the type to get. I would like to avoid the cheapest models or ones that can break soon or not provide truly distilled, quality water. The healthiest and cleanest water is my first concern.
I’m looking for another water purifier. Water Wise has raised their prices too much! Sears no long makes one. What do you recommend for less than $300?
